Alrighty I've been out riding motorcycles all weekend but I managed to snap this pic today. I think you'll find out exactly why your having problems messing around with the sidestand spring. I forgot to get the measurement for you though... I'll have to take it off for that.

Of course this is the parts bike.

If it doesn't work out for you lemme know and you can have my extra rusty spring and rusty C shaped part for a small donation. :D I don't think I'll be trying to restore this parts bike I got! If you sandblasted and spray painted them they would look just fine and be very functional.
