CA160 Touring Ignition Switch

Post by Dreamer160 »

I am currently starting a restoration, the wiring harness is melted. I have no key for the switch. Is it possible to get it re-keyed?? Where can I find a new/old one? A wiring diagram would be great. Also the engine code A160E-1001797 and frame CA160-1001783 do not match...does this mean an engine swap? I am pretty new to all this and any help would be great. Thanks. :D

Hello Dreamer! Engine and frame numbers won't match. You can make your own wiring harness if you can differentiate between the colors of yours (hope its not melted too much). I've bought keys for Hondas on Ebay for near nothing. :) A good locksmith should easily be able to make a new key for your ignition. I think they have numbers on the cylinders that correspond to how the keys are cut to match - right guys? Ebay and Craigslist are your friends. There are plenty of suggestions on where to find parts here on the forum so get readin !
