Hi-
Picked up a running Benly this past summer and have been slowly getting it road worthy. (Just found this forum and I'm really psyched, as it kinda feels like I'm winging it a little too hard!) It looks sweet and I got it running briefly before I put it in the basement fot the winter. Someone switched it from a 6volt system to a 12, but othger than that, it looks pretty original.
So far, the most pressing items are a carb rebuild and getting an air cleaner (it's missing)- there's Thai stuff on ebay, but is there a place that has them stateside? I've seen pretty negative stuff about the Thai companies in my short lurk time on this forum...
Also, are fancy white wall tires generally available at my local bike shop? I should mention this is my first motorcycle (I've had an elite 80 for years) and am a bit of an idiot when it comes to gettin' fixy...
Thanks!
Newbie with a new/old '64 Benly

I believe I used the 1.75" UNI pod and that worked quite well.

If you are really interested in the exact replacement I think some have them at most likely outrageous prices. I have seen them around.
