Looking for a luggage rack

I just purchased a 1966 Honda CA160 in great condition, but i need a rack so I can mount a trunk. Does anyone know where I can find one to fit my bike? Thanks in advance.

I've seen them in pictures from the past but I've never seen one last this long... and I have yet to see a reproduction. No way I would buy one of those pieces of junk off eBay either.

i bought a rack for my baby awhile back but it was to big and heavy it was more for a dream rather then the benly

then i bought this one on ebay and it fits my trunk just right and isn't big and gaudy i'm very happy with it

I hadn't seen this until now. Wow you got that big Givi luggage box to fit just right. And it doesn't look as bad as I've seen on other bikes. A lot of people that have these on different bikes mount them a little higher while makes them look ugly but you kept yours a little lower than usually seen. So how's the bike now? Are you just waiting for warmer weather to ride it around some more?

well the bike blew a head gasket and is in the hospital right now going thru a engine rebuild from top 2 bottom. In fact i just pulled the engine out of little red to take to the shop. This is a big 1st step for me in the learning curve yep i know you guys are seasoned veterans but everyone has to start somewhere right.

As for the helmet trunk i looked both near and far to find one that fit just right and i think it looks okie dokie even with the buco's

I know you can handle it. Plus you can always ask around here if you're not sure and need some advice on anything. The best tool you have is your digital camera. Just take pictures of it as you take things apart and your life will be much easier when you go to assemble it all back together. Be careful not to ding the cylinder or lose any of the little parts. As you know it's a nightmare trying to get replacement parts and those fins are really brittle on the cylinder head. I like working on a wooden workbench as they are a lot softer and forgiving when you are working on old engines. Disassembling on an old rubber mat is a good idea too. Like a piece cut out of an old bed liner from a pickup.

At least everything should be in great shape and you're just replacing a head gasket. Good luck.

yea a head gasket and a lot more, its the whole tamale;

new valves, guides, inner & outer springs
new cam, chain, sprocket, tensioner, chain roller cam
new pistons, rings, pins
new crankshaft bearings

wew looks like its a keeper for awhile
