I was suspecting it might be auto trim. In any event it looks good - gives the bike a more finished look. Especially the side covers.

Hi Spokes,
I have a question regarding the chrome trim on the fenders. Were they available from Honda when new? I haven't noticed them before ...

Spokes,
I've got some experience using red loctite on engine assembly. Provided the parts are clean before application it works just fine. I know an engine builder that uses it on connecting rod bolts and they claim that they've never had an engine fail due to rod bolts. Just my two cents worth ...

Thanks Sam. They don't appear to be that much different mechanically but in saying that I don't have the bike experience you guys do. The most obvious difference I note is that C95 is stamped right in the engine block assy.

Thanks ByTheLake and DanUhr. Both of you have been helpful. Items 2 & 9 were what I was refering to. I have to look around and see if I have those two peices (I was not the one who took it apart) Am I correct in assuming that # 9 is attached to the cable?

Thanks. The clutch cable makes sense. As I'm from Ontario, I am pretty sure this is a C95 (not sure how it differs from a CA95) I do not have a parts book and Im figuring it out as I go. Regarding the bolts - do any of you use anything on the threads? Such as anti sieze compound so that future ...

Engine side cover

Well it has been a while since the my dream was dismantled for rebuilding. I'm in the process of putting it back together and have a couple of questions for the experts: The left side cover that mounts toward the rear of the engine has a cut out for the wiring harness which is obvious but what is ...

It must have been popular mod. to do so at one time. I also picked up a 305 Dream that was butchered the same way. In any event, I feel pretty confident that I can weld in a repair. I gained lots of experience fab'ing and welding when I rebuilt the old mustang. I'd consider replacing the parts but ...

Frame and Fender Repair

Hello everyone,
I'm working on a 1965 150cc Dream and and some metal repair is needed. It appears that a P.O. removed the flare at the rear of the front and rear fenders. I think I have enough skill to fabricate these and mig weld them back on. I really want to restore the original look and was ...

Engine Fasteners

Thanks for info on the oil filter screws. I dunno about the screws shaking loose. I'm hoping not to have any leaks. I was contemplating using a sealer on the gasket but haven't done so yet.

Engine Fasteners

Yeah I agree the button head bolts would look closer to what was on the engine. I plan on using antisieze on the bolts. What about the 4 screws that hold the oil filter together? Would these be special thread? Somone should make these available in a kit form?

Engine Fasteners

Okay so now that I have addressed the engine internals, I'm ready to reassemble the engine. I would like to replace the philips head screws that are used to secure the stator and side covers. Most of them are damaged from taking them out and reuse is not an option. Can anyone recommend a good ...

Okay so I tried compressing the rings and then slide the cylinder down over top. (That was really frustrating) After my fingers got sore I decided to do it Sams way. It worked okay but it was a bit tricky getting the wrist pins and clips in. Finally assembled now. Thanks for the advice. By the way ...

I thought about doing it your way Sam. But I already had the retainer clips installed. I will try using my fingers to compress the rings. Of course I will not be forcing it. If that doesn't work out I will try it the other way. Thanks for your feedback
