Ok, Baby Dream... but it's mine. A bike I've always wanted and thought I'd never own.

This one came from Craigslist. It's a 1966 and complete minus the tail light and left side cover. Paid $200 for it.

Motor isn't seized and it clicks through all the gears.

Carb is all gummed up and the tank is very rusty inside

I do have the other exhaust pipe; it was off in the pics.

My plans are to replace the tires with new whitewalls (if they are even available!), have the tank done, have the carb rebuilt... and ride it. I'll definately clean it up but I think the patina is nearly as cool as a shiny bike.

I've already found an original seat with no tears!

If anyone has leads on someone who can do the tank and carb, please do let me know.

Whitewalls are available, but they are very expensive. Like $200+ for a set. Here's the link to the Coker Tire page:

$117 a pop! And that's one of the lower prices that I've seen.

Doable for the look I want though. I found them on Coker's site for $117 each :/

$200 is the same amount that I paid for mine. Cosmetically, mine's pretty nice, but mechanically, it's shot. I got it running, but a connecting rod broke.....so that was the end of that engine. Have a CA160 engine sitting around that I might rebuild and swap into my bike......if it will mount in there without modification.

Heh, I have the opposite. Mine looks like I pulled it from the ocean but it's mechanically sound.

Not intentionally. It did have a problem with high revving, but I never ran it long enough where the pipes even got hot, so I think something was up in the first place. It would only hit on one cylinder. Something was screwed up.

In fact, it happened as I was kick starting it. It started to go, then "CLINK!"....and a chunk of the case flew off and oil splattered on the fender.

Talk about putting your weight into it!! It's not a Bultaco! But seriously it's funny how slow the electric starter turns the engine over and the actually fire up.

New side covers, tail light, mirrors, gas cap, and carb rebuild kit on their way. Looking for foot rest hardware and spark plugs as well as points still.

Very nice! Seats are a pain in the butt. Even if you have one getting it recovered by someone that knows what they are doing will easily be around $100. We should be careful not to bid against each other on CA95 parts. =] I'm not actively bidding but the people on this forum are probably some of the only people that would. hehe

Yah I thought I might have a fight but I was the only bidder.

Now the chain guard he had for sale... that was another story! Big bidding war and it ended for $71; not to me. :/
