I forget how tight I did mine. I wish I could remember but I'm sure I used a little more force than that.

Do those hold the jug to the block too or are there different bolts deeper in? My jug to block seal is leaking oil but maybe I could just tighten something to fix it...

I tried doing it to around 30 lbs and it felt a bit like it might of started stripping. Hope its not. Anyone know for sure what its suppose to be ? I dont think im going to tighten it anymore till im sure.

10-15ft lbs by the book. 30 ft lbs is more than plenty. What you feel as a "slip" is actually the stud moving in the aluminum case.
I would not tighten anymore. Should you bust the engine case....... it will be a dipped in shyt city event.

As Chip said, 10 to 15 max, make sure your #6 nut is the domed one as in the picture, that's where the oil comes up to the cam and valve gear.

It's not important if you want an oil leak.

Underneath it is pressureised oil that can seep up the threads. You will also find one on one of the crankcase studs under the motor for the same reason, it's not rocket science.
