Thanks for the answer. It still has the original lever controls so I need the 8mm thread. The right side was a pain as the mirror post was sheared off flush.

In Fact, just like many bikes on this site, some of the parts came from Spokes. Hopefully I'll be posting up pics and a video soon... as soon ...

with reguards the starter, make sure the starter relay isn't stuck in the "on" position. I havn't tried with these, but on the later hondas you can open up the relay. Check to make sure the bar that carries the heavy current doesn't have any metal barbs coming off of it causing it to stick inside ...

write up on the lighting please! I've read your write up on the signals, but would love to see what you did for the LED tail lights and the replaceable bulb headlight. These bikes can use as much help as possible when it comes to current draw.

That is the best way to do it if you have access to a GOOD locksmith. If you are like me and don't have one anywhere near you, you can get the code off the ignition switch. like T3465 then you can buy a vintage honda key with the matching code on it. just buy one to make sure it works. As near as I can tell, no. not even the evolution of chassis/motor (the ca160) will straight bolt in place. see this thread:

holy crud! great looking bike there. I found mine outside, it is a LITTLE rougher ;) (okay a lot) I sure wish mine had been kept inside. good luck getting her running. I'm still in the parts gathering phase of my project, waiting on some time to clear up to really get to work on her.

Here in Kentucky, all I need to do is take the serial number of the frame and the engine number to the DMV. They will run a search. If clear, they issue me a title. To register for plates the bike has to be road worthy. It gets inspected by the Sheriff Dept. and they again match the title to the ...
