Heidenau 3.00x16 tires

SPAM post!

3.00x16 Heidenau tires. $59 each and free shipping (limited time on the free shipping). Not the cheapest tires around but they are a quality tire made in Germany. The 3.50x16 tires have been popular with the CA77 crowd.

You could dremel out the bulb that is in your reflector and epoxy in a new one. I assume you are only riding in daylight? No need to worry about beam focus.

What's kind of weird about the one on eBay is that the CA95 is 6 volt and the CA160 is 12 volt, right? It lists it as being usable on either.

The 160 came after the 150. The 160 engine base was also used in the CB160 and CL160.

Tanks are slightly different. The 160 has a larger tank badge. I think the tank pads also have a different pattern on them?

The 160 has its cam chain in the center, the Ca95 is on the side.

Well one thing you might have against you is that I don't know if there are any CA95 pistons and rings that are in an overbore more than +1.00mm. You could possibly use CA/CB 160 pistons.

Were the pistons stuck or just the ring on the pistons that was stuck?

If it was only the stuck ring I would ...

Okay a question from a car guy relatively new to this hobbie - I measured the pistons on my "dream" and they measure 1.965" (sorry I am stuck on imperial measurement) The top of the piston is marked 100 Can someone explain this?

Jim

My guess is that you are at 1.00mm over stock bore.

Another way to tell is the fender struts. Early ones aren't squared off for winkers. Same goes for the CA77.

I'd make sure you have power before you look at the coils. A light somewhere should turn on. I would fix that fuse bypass,

Ok, so when you turn on the ignition do any lights come on? Is there a main fuse in the circuit?

I have one pair of .50 over and a pair of 1.00 over. After that I'm done selling them I think. I need to keep some in my personal stash for future use.
