Default Had to laugh , 1953 Honda 305 Dream

Had to laugh today as I was checking Craig's List , Akron / Canton Ohio , a 1953 -Honda Dream 305 was listed for sale . NO price but the owner stated he knew what he had and No low ball offers would be accepted !
Looks like a 1963 Benly , but who am I to say . Left a phone message but haven't received a return call yet . Should be fun to hear what the owner has to say .

Spoke to the owner and sadly he didn't have a clue as to what he had . He was just getting ready to go and pickup the title but he was TOLD it could be a 1949 , 1951 or 1953 -305 Dream but he wasn't sure .
He did seem like a very nice fellow so I asked him several basic questions about the bike and told him where to look for the engine and frame numbers .
I did tell him from what I could see in his pictures it was a 1963 CA95 Honda Benly . He called back about an hour later and gave me the engine number , so yes , he has a poor condition 1963 CA 95 . Bike doesn't run and the front fender is cut off and it was pained green many years ago . He asked what I thought a good price range would be ,so I told him looking at the pic's maybe 300-500 dollars . He didn't sound surprised but I think he thought he had a goldmine . Guess not .

That's ok, I saw one of the fellows on HT.net with a 1876 Cb360. Very rare indeed.

Rare as in his DREAMS.

Forgetting the Dreams and getting back to the Benlys, I wonder if any of our members have any really old ones.
When we talk about the early bikes, we notice that they have revcounter (tacho) drives but how many really early ones do we have.
I'm talking about the ones that breath through a breather on top of the gearbox instead of from the top mount cover and what about the ones with the distributor on the end of the camshaft.
Get looking guys.

Sam.

Hey Larz,

If you don't really need the tear-drop cover I'm actually missing that off my 60' C76.......
...it could go to a nice home downunder?
