Default No flashing signal lights one side

one minor issue im having with my benly is the right signal lights lite up but don't flash the left side signals work as they should.anyone ever come across this.i would have thought if the flasher was not working then all signals would not work

The problem is either a bad contact at the switch or bad ground at the lights.

The reasons previously given are real possibilities but it might be the same problem I used to have

I found the original indicators very fussy about lamp wattage. Quite often they wouldn't flash without the engine running but would flash if it was running fast enough to charge the battery. The rear lamps were 8 Watt but these are now impossible to get, I tried some 7.5 watt and they just won't flash no matter what the revs. I recently changed to an electronic flasher relay which doesn't care about lamp wattage and I am able to use any wattage available and they just flash away at the same speed irrespective of if the engine speed or if it is running.
