I thought it would be fun to post a thread showing this awesome Lexus 1UZ-FE engine in other vehicles. There are so many other race cars, off-road vehicles, trucks and classic hot rods using this engine. I'm just amazed at how many people are really catching on and taking advantage of such a great powerplant.

I have a lot of pictures that I'll be adding from time to time. Here we go!

If any of the owners of these vehicles has anything to add to a pictures just email me which one and let me know. These are pictures from places like forums that I've collected.

Here is an F40 replica chassis with a super custom 1UZ (http://www.f40.co.nz) I think:

Here is a hot video with sound of the car on the track, flames and all! LINK: F40 replica 1UZ at the track

Super clean exhaust:

The front end design phase:

Now that's the travel I'm talking about:

A GT40 replica equipped 1UZ style:

A hot rod in Aussieland I believe, super clean!

I never would have thought a 1UZ in a classic rod:

I had to doubletake when I browsed past this ride:

Toyota Corolla right?

VW van 1UZ conversion!

1UZ under that back hatch. Here is a Sakar chassis with a super custom 1UZ. I lost the pictures of the engine. I'll post them if they show up.

Sakar can be found on their Euro site (The US site is down for the count) http://www.sakereurope.com/ This particular 1UZ was in a different Sakar.

A nicely built road corse racing convertible with a black 1UZ. Reminds me of a Caterham:

An older muscle car with a twin turbo Lexus 1UZ-FE. What a NICE setup!

Cleanly built custom road corse race 1UZ.

That's all for now girls and guys. This took some time getting all these pictures together but they are all really well built machines and it shows that these engines are capable of doing anything!

I'll throw some more pictures of the Lexus 1UZ-FE when I come across some more noteworthy vehicles... I haven't posted everyone of the swaps that I have but I will when I have the time.

Enjoy for now.

We got more hot 1UZ powered rides to post. I am just amazed at the variety of projects that are using these wonderful engines. Here is an impressive BMW.

And one of my FAVORITE rides! A Nissan 240sx (aka in Aussi land as the 180X). Talk about a drifting car! And this sucker is nearly bone stock. Shows what a little elbow grease can to to an ordinary car. And even better yet this dude posted up a video on youtube.com of him burning off some rubber. This guy knows how to do it right! Great job. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rix63ANXAN0

Here is a sweet Hilux getting the 1UZ treatment down in Australia. The guy was making some really good progress but stopped posting on his thread a couple months ago. I'll email him to see where he's at on this swap. He had some great ideas that I have always had in mind i.e; aluminum deep oil sump, aluminum thermostat housing and he even found an adapter for the alternator circuit to plug into his Hilux chassis wiring harness.
