Default chain case cover

Hello all, I bought my ca95 last year and I have read a lot on the site but have not really posted much. The bike has finally been brought to the front of my long list of projects. I would post some pics but it is currently in pieces so it would just be pictures of bunch parts in boxes lol. Last weekend I sand blasted the frame and debating on painting it white or black but thats another post...the bike was complete less a fender and the chain case cover. I bought a fender on ebay but looking for the chain case, both pieces the upper and the lower if any body has one. I keep searching ebay but there is nos one but it is only half of it and they want a 160 for it..

Sorry I don't have any spare covers. Tough to find but not impossible.

I'm needing a chain case too. But of course scott12544 gets the first one we find!

The chain guards pop up on eBay occasionally when people part-out a bike, so check every few days. I bought a nice pair several months ago and surprisingly had little competition. Be sure to widen your search by including compatible bikes (C92/C95/CA95/CA160).

Maybe we could stage a reality show, "Jousting for Chain Guards", and let scott12544 and frappy do battle over the only parts left in the world. If jousting is too physical, perhaps "Dancing for Chain Guards"??

[quote=ByTheLake;8678] Be sure to widen your search by including compatible bikes (C92/C95/CA95/CA160).

Be sure to buy or get complete chain covers for one model. The chain case for a CA160 is not exactly the same case cover for a CA95.

Meaning you cannot mix and match CA95's and CA160 chain covers. So use a complete unit from one or the other. I know this from building two CA95's and working on my 3rd CA160

wow thanks for all the replys and sugestions on searching for them and I will post if I find one. You guys are an active group I have posted on other forums (car forums, my 1st love) and would get one reply after a week with little direction. Thanks again and I will post as I get stuck and of course when the bike is done.

I've seen them on ebay from time to time. I don't intend to install one on my bike, so I never checked to see if they were sold from Thailand or some other distant location.

Give Ohiocycle a call ,they should have what you need . He has a large stock of used parts as well as NOS . I purchased an upper and lower chain case from him last year at the AMA Vintagefest last summer .
