Put the clutch cable adjuster in the cover along with the horseshoe clamp and bolt . Attach the clutch cable to the adjuster and the fitting at the outer cable slides into the cover . You can then slide the cover over the shifter shaft and bolt everything in place .
you have to be carefull with the clutch cable adjustment . Use the barrel adjuster to get you close and fine tune the adjustment at the lever . You should have about 3/8 to 1/2 "of freeplay at the lever .
If the barrel adjuster is too tight against the clutch pushrod you'll have the clutch disengaged or slipping . It doesn't take much , an easy way to tell is engage the kick starter ,if you feel engine compression your close on the adjustment ,if not ,back off on the adjustment .
Good luck ,just be ready to make adjustments when you get the bike running .
