Default CA95 Speedo backwards?

I bought a used speedo on Ebay, just installed it and connected it to the wheel with cable, two problems: the needle goes down when going forward and the cable if too long?
I don't see anyway to connect it so that it turns the right way?

I replied in another thread - can you post some pictures of how the speedometer cable is connected to the drive unit? The drive should be on the right side of the wheel. I also posted a picture that shows how the cable is looped through the fender bracket, which allows the cable to have a nice graceful curve that avoids sharp bends that could reduce its life.
