OMG... I've never seen so much grease inside a switch before; that certrainly isn't good!
Strange though, that white wire was missing too. However, it never ceases to amaze me what a PO might do to "fix" an item. Case in point: my CA95#2 was purchased complete for $300 becuase seller "couldn't get spark". The hot wire from the wiring harness was attached to the fuse, yet the other wire with eyelet that is supposed to lead to the battery was simply missing. I added the "missing link" and viola; spark! (Glad I had a spare wiring harness to compare and a wiring diagram to follow!) |

The foot shifter shaft circlip was replaced with a hose clamp... but the circlip was still on the shaft, sliding around! |

Key Switch Installed
My switch arrived from Chip. Of course it looks great it will be the last switch this bike will ever need. Thank you Spokes. Reading about all the grease in it makes me wonder if the locksmith who made the key might have done that. Now the headlight Kartgreen gave me lights up now and both beams work. I am going to make a video of it in operation tomorrow and post the link. Thanks again.

Hi Everyone:
Here is a video of my CA95 with the Keyswitch Spokes rebuilt for me and the Headlight that Kartgreen gave me. You Meet the Nicest People on a Honda. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C8h94PNJIG4&feature=plcp |

Great to see it running! I noticed your Hi/Low switch seems a little temperamental - I found a good flushing with DeOxit has completely fixed that.

I love it! That little switch traveled coast to coast! Congrats! BTW..don't be too concerned with the light being on with the 1st click of the switch. Current bikes are also wired to have their lights on when the bike is running, it's a safety thing and I believe it is mandatory.
