Default Graves Motorsports Yamahas R1 & FZ1

I love what Graves Motorsports has done to both the R1 and FZ1 bikes. I wasn't a huge fan of yellow until I owned a yellow Suzuki TLR1000. Then Yamaha started throwing around their classic yellow Kenny Roberts paint job on it's sport bikes with great success. Graves has always been up on tuning Yamahas and I actually have pictures of an R1 that WAS built for the racing team but as a spare. The engine was done inside and out with the race spec goodies and puts out plenty of power. The suspension was also changed internally from the typical Ohlins as well and it's truly a bike you will not see on the street.

The FZ1 pictures are displayed below the R1 so have patience and read further down.

Ahh King Kenny's bikes!

This is the only R1 I could think about replacing this Roberts/Graves edition with. And I think the owner is considering just that.

Basically Dunlop had Graves Motorsports build a Yamaha FZ1 To Be Auctioned for a Doug Henry Benefit. I've always known that the FZ1 is a fast bike and is excellent in every category on the streets. I've never ridden one yet but I am looking to jump on one for a spin when I can. Seeing the Graves FZ1 really got me thinking. These bikes can be had for a pretty decent price used and to make it unique with some goodies isn't that tough....

Here is the SportRider article detailing the specs and showing off the pictures for the Benefit bike: FZ1 put together by Graves Racing. The pictures are kind of a pain in the butt to look at so here they are in their entirety.

And some last details. This bike is too clean. I just wonder how long it would stay that way... not long.
