C92 rear shock absorbers
I want to take apart my rear shocks for paint and chrome work but can't get them apart. Does anyone know the correct procedure?

Thanks guys. I'll put away the sledge and crowbar and do it your way.

No worries, I think puzzle and myself were answering you at the same time. Something to wedge between collar and cover, to expose the nut. The odd thing is it's like a card trick that seems a special mystery then you learn it and are like duh.
