Thinking about doing the conversion... not sure. I just like looking at these pictures.



ANyhow the Futura touring bike made by Aprilia has a single sided swingarm and basically bolts right into my frame. Crazy huh? But there is no benefit as the special wheel must be heavier and the bearings wear out faster in that configuration. But it looks damn cool. I can get a complete back end, sprockets, brakes, everything for probably $500 cash. If I could put my muffler on the other side of my bike it would look a lot better but I'm not sure if I want to go through the hassle... blah blah blah



Maybe it's just the coolness factor of actually owning a bike with a single swingarm? There can't be many downsides to having the Futura setup on the back. It can't slow down the bike that much. If the stock Mille swingarm wasn't so pretty I would be taking this conversion a lot more seriously. :huh:
