valve stem oiling question
I see there is bihind the carburator in the head of the 150 engine there are 2 holes with come together bihind the insulator..I have pumped oil an see that it comes out of the [or]valve guides
Quetion ..is this to oil the vave stems? and does the oil pump gets oil there? New to this Forum...Thank you |

The hose from the carb isolator and the hose to the engine cyl. head cover both go to the air filter . This is a very rudimentay emissons system using carb vacuum to draw excess crankcase vapors into the intake to be burned with the gas . I would think it's less effective trying to draw a vacuum through the carb isolator but Honda must have tested this before they put the motor out to market .
