Welcome Chain. You chose a great bike to get the young guy started. Honda motorcycles are excellent machines to teach someone troubleshooting and basic mechanics. 50cc and 70cc Honda engines were the first motorcycle engines that I actually learned inside and out when I was a kid. You guys have a very straight looking bike to build on. I'm also a fan of the Dodge in the background.
