My Benly gained power as the engine broke in. I'm nearing 500 miles since the engine rebuild, and the little bike surprises me. The Benly likes higher RPMs, so if I hold 3rd gear to 50 MPH, 4th gear takes me past 60. I can reach 65 if I give it enough time - not bad for a 150 hauling a 200 pound American.
