It looks good enough to just jump on and ride:D:D:D:D:D not a lot of work needed we hope.
I run external cables but I have always made my own from whatever I could find due to running very low bars.
Good luck.

Sam.:)

jst scrathes

yeah thanks, other than a few scratches she's in perfect order. i'm looking forward to low risers but, she too much fun to ride for now.

If your looking for an external throttle Motion Pro sells a single cable model and the can also make cables to the length needed .
The other alternative is the local bike salvage yard , I'm sure you could find what you need and as an added benefit you'd be recycling !

Whoa that thing is shiny. Ready to ride, except for finicky throttle cable I hear. Nice bike.

grandolepete 09-28-2011 10:15 PM

trust.

yeah it throttles great. it feels like its sticking. read some of the posts and cleaned it all out and gun oiled it. when the grip is off it moves very smoothly. when the grip is back on it's a whole other story. it just feels clunky inside. works fine, it gives me some trust issues though. im going aftermarket though so i can switch out the bars. i just don't want to be beat by four moving parts. p.s. ca95 throttle assembly for sale soon!

I would by a universal throttle assembly from a place called cycle exchange. They primarily carry Honda cb750 stuff but the bar size is 7/8 so should be perfect. I'll be running them on my SS125a and maybe my Benly too.

Wierd... my 1962 benly doesn't use the internal throttle, it uses a single external cable... it's a TEK part though. I wonder if it was replaced?

sweet.

'cause changing these things out are kinda a pain! i'll show you mine if you show me your's! about to change out to low rise bars and a single, found a sweet deal if you are looking for a single saddle.

I have the parts in my shop for the original external throttle set up for the CA95. The problem is that the starter button hole seems to be worn to the point that the starter button will not stay in place, but comes through the hole. The throttle assembly should work just fine. PM me if your interested. You will get all of the parts. Maybe some creative work could save the starter button. I'm not going to spend time on it.

The internal throttle assembly is tricky but I prefer it.

easy and odd.

my bike did not come with a horn. so i routed the starter to the left and used the horn button for the start. works great! i figure i can just yell really loud!

grandolepete 10-04-2011 04:08 PM

do you have to have a horn?

Spokes 10-04-2011 04:12 PM

No. I intend to buy a 6V Vespa horn for my CA95 build.
