Motorcycle and Automotive Books I've Checked Out

I've always been a fan of reading these types of books since I was a kid. There are just so many beautifully engineered masterpieces out there to read about. Just creating and designing one motorcycle or car or truck takes years of a persons life and of course takes teams of people for the larger production stuff. And how about the design influence that is shared from one creation to the next? You can deny that engineers and designers copy other designs in making what they want.

I'll also be showing off some repair manuals that I really like and have used. Older factory repair and service manuals are always fun to look at and you can actually learn a lot from them... especially the old Honda ones. So to begin with I'm going to show some pictures from a Honda Motorcycle Racing Legend book. It's in Japenese but the pictures are second to none. These are famous Honda books that Honda has never let go of as they are just simply another level higher in engineering for motorcycles. Honda really outdid themselves in raising the industry standard when it comes to high performance, high revving engines that are reliable.

The Honda Racing Motorcycle Legend book. This book really amazed me with the photos. 5 and 6 cylinder Honda Racing engines anyone?

Read the words? Who reads the words in books anyways? That's crazy!

And the only text I can understand... the numbers! 20,000 rpm and they probably weren't even wearing earplugs.
