Classic Motorcycle Show: San Jose 2010
I was lucky enough to get away to go to the San Jose Classic Motorcycle show at the fair grounds yesterday with some friends. We took a LOT of pictures for reference and also for our friends that couldn't make it. Check it out.

Here we have panoramic views inside the doors of both the Japanese/Italian Hall and then the British Motorcycle Hall. Click HERE and then HERE for a large views of each picture.

Here is something that you don't see hardly ever if at all. It's a 1985 CBR 250cc! Yeap here we are in the year soon to be 2011 and Kawasaki is selling thier sport Ninja 250 and Honda just released their comeback bike the Honda CBR250R which has only one cylinder. But back in 1985 they already had it right with a 4 cylinder 250 that got praise from the largest bike magazines. Too bad there aren't more examples of these little Hondas around to play with!

I knew there would be a Kawasaki H2 lurking in the crowd somewhere.

A very practical Honda CL360 on display.

Suzuki Water Buffalo anyone?
http://lh3.ggpht.com/_ulQVCNn5m20/TR...0/IMG_7688.JPG Someone put some EXTREME hours into this restoration / hot rod project bike. http://lh6.ggpht.com/_ulQVCNn5m20/TR...0/IMG_7689.JPG |
This is surely a hot project here. It has a much newer hopped up Yamaha engine in this older frame. Must be a sleeper.
http://lh5.ggpht.com/_ulQVCNn5m20/TR...0/IMG_7690.JPG And then this super hot Yamaha came along and stole the show. http://lh3.ggpht.com/_ulQVCNn5m20/TR...0/IMG_7691.JPG http://lh5.ggpht.com/_ulQVCNn5m20/TR...0/IMG_7694.JPG |
Some more angles.
http://lh3.ggpht.com/_ulQVCNn5m20/TR...0/IMG_7695.JPG http://lh5.ggpht.com/_ulQVCNn5m20/TR...0/IMG_7705.JPG The bare necessities. The owner also approached us to answer some questions and to tell us that "everything here is for sale" *wink wink* http://lh3.ggpht.com/_ulQVCNn5m20/TR...0/IMG_7706.JPG |
We took a break in-between buildings at the fairgrounds and had a look around the parking lot. This wasn't hard to miss here. Package deals always make the gears in your head spin. :)
http://lh6.ggpht.com/_ulQVCNn5m20/TR...0/IMG_7731.JPG And inside the deals were also fierce. We had to try very hard not to haul any new projects back home. There were some decent deals on nearly complete Triumphs out back. http://lh3.ggpht.com/_ulQVCNn5m20/TR...0/IMG_7754.JPG |
Here is a show winner right here. A 1960's Dunstall Norton looking in competitive form. Owner was asking 15,000 obo.

If I ever get my Benly on the road, my back up project is a Gold, Honda CL-360. I have 2 spare parts engines for it. Hope I eventually get to ride it also.
