My bikes

Hey everybody,
Just bought a black 66 CA95 on Ebay a couple of weeks ago. Pretty rusty but hey. I got a red 64 last year from my dad, in much better shape rust wise but missing engine and pipes. I also have an 83 Honda Nighthawk.

Hello Vintagehonda. So, what are the plans for the bikes? Will both be fixed up, or will one be a donor for the other?

Not sure yet. I would like to restore both bikes. I have to pull the engine on the 66 and see if it would be worth it.

Welcome VH- Looks like you have two worthy candidates there. Should be lots of fun and you have a great start.

Tearing them down is my favorite part. :) As long as the cylinders aren't rusty the engines are usually not too hard to get going again.

Saw an ad on Craigslist for a CA95 frame and some spare parts for $150 about 20 miles away. Contacted the seller this morning and went out in a snowstorm to look at it. The CA95 ended up being a CA77 rolling frame which I passed on. He did have a seat, front forks with speedometer, gasket sets, shocks, tail light lens, and tank side covers that I bought for $75. I needed a better speedo and a seat for my 66 as the original seat disintegrated in my hands!

He was a cool guy and he had tons of bikes. He had a black bike that looks like I hope mine looks like someday. He said he races bikes and was about to head down to Georgia.

This was red last summer after I pulled her out of my dad's shed, where she had sat for 40 years. Still has the license plate from 1972!
